Sir Coliinean Maurard is a Breton knight who can be found together with his squire Lyna Errard as a random encounter in the High Isle.

Dialogue

As you approach him you can hear the conversation:

Sir Coliinean Maurard: "Pick up the pace, squire! We must hasten to our next adventure! Where do your scribbles lead?"

Squire Lyna Errard: "Scribbles? I had to draw that map because you left the road to chase a fictional Dragon! It's not my fault we're lost."

"What's this? Were you distracted by my glory? Do you not recognize the hero standing in front of you? My deeds may be humble, but my name lives on in song. Believe me. And now my squire and I are on our way to give the bards more to sing about!"

Did your squire say that you're lost?

"A minor setback, I assure you. We were going to stop a hoard of bandits and elevate our names, but then a traveling druid told me about a Dragon and I confess my excitement got the better of me. No matter, we'll find some great villainy soon."

What sort of villainy are you hoping to find?

"Does it matter? Evil must be defeated wherever it is found. Otherwise it festers like a … like a … festering thing.
My squire would have a good metaphor."

Your squire seems upset.

"She's angry with me. She feels that I failed to collect rations for this journey. Rations? Who needs food when adventures lie ahead?
Her skills are commendable, but she still has much to learn. Which is why she is the squire and I am the knight."

Once the conversation with the Squire Lyna Errard is ended she will direct the knight to one of the directions:

Sir Coliinean Maurard: "Well, squire, do you know where we're going now? Lead on. I'll follow"

If you meet him again he will greet you with another response:

"Ah! Friend, it's good to see you again. I hear you were the one who told my squire where the adventure was last time.
My squire is in another mood, but I'm sure searching for enemies to slay will cheer her up."'

This time you may also ask him what is he and his squire doing:

What are you doing here?

"I'm waiting for my squire to orient me and point me in the direction of more adventure.
Oh, I can regale you with the tales of my travels while we wait!"

You found the evil knight?

"Yes! She waited to the south, just as you said.
It was glorious! She struck left, I parried right. I swung high, she ducked. I'm sure the bards have five songs dedicated to my glory already."

So, you defeated her?

"Well, not as such. She had the terrain advantage. I had to retreat. But I've challenged her to a duel. I cannot allow her foul deeds to continue.
We'll meet on that field of combat in a year and see whose martial skill is greater."

You're going to wait a year?

"Only to fight her. I must ensure that my skills are honed. I owe her that much respect. Until then, I intend to teach my squire all I know. Starting with how to find adventures.
She's been pretty lousy at it so far."

Did you manage to stop the pirates?

"Indeed we did. It was a fight that will live on in song, believe me.
One knight against a sea of pirates! One threw a net atop me, but I kept fighting. I wish you were there. No doubt you would've joined the fray too!"

You found a sea of pirates?

"Well, we found a sea and pirates. But I swear to you, I was outnumbered and had to fight them all to the end!
We had to leave before I'd slayed the whole crew. There were just too many of them and I'd be a terrible master if I endangered my squire."

You left the pirates alive?

"If I'd killed them all then what would I do next time I needed an adventure? No, you can't just kill every enemy you encounter. Oh dear, you should be glad you're not my squire, you'd have so much to learn.
Still, more adventure for me!"

Did you find any treasure?

"We trekked deep into ruins, carved our way deep into the forest towards a secret lake, and fought off all the creatures who made their homes in such remote locations.
When the bards hear of our trials they will shower us with praise!"

That sounds like a long journey.

"It would've been shorter, but my squire couldn't give me very precise details as to the location of the hidden treasure. So we had to look for it everywhere.
We put in so much work, and still only managed to find a few purses filled with coin."

You only found a few purses?

"I'm disappointed as well. I suppose not every buried treasure is a trove. And who knows, maybe we'll search for treasures of legend again.
There are so many opportunities for adventure. I hope my squire will pick a new adventure soon."
